The Youth Counselling Project

How They Help: Free school-based counselling and emotional wellbeing support
Who It’s For: Children and young people aged 5–18 in East Sussex, primarily in the Seaford area

Overview
The Youth Counselling Project (TYCP) delivers free therapeutic support to children and young people experiencing anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, or emotional distress. Working in partnership with local schools, a team of trained child and adolescent therapists provides early-access counselling tailored to each pupil’s needs. The service promotes emotional resilience, improves school engagement, and offers crucial early intervention for families struggling to access NHS mental health provision.
