ADHD Ireland
Ireland’s National Support Service for Children, Young People, Adults and Families Affected by ADHD
Who It’s For: Children and young people with ADHD, their parents and carers, adults living with ADHD, and professionals working with those affected across Ireland. Services are available nationally, with dedicated Cork branch services for those in the south.
What They Offer: ADHD Ireland is Ireland’s national charity dedicated to making life better for people affected by ADHD. Funded by the HSE and the Department of Children, they provide a confidential phone and email support line, psychoeducation, parenting courses, peer support groups, information webinars and social events. They also run the ADHD School Accreditation Programme — a national initiative working to make every school in Ireland ADHD-friendly — and deliver training for teachers and workplaces. They contribute to research and campaign to reduce stigma and improve acceptance of ADHD across Irish society.

Why This Matters: Getting a diagnosis of ADHD for your child can bring both relief and a flood of questions about what comes next. ADHD Ireland is there from the very beginning — helping parents understand the condition, know their rights, access the right support at school, and connect with others who truly get it. Because ADHD affects the whole family, their support is designed for everyone around the child, not just the child themselves.
