LauraLynn
Ireland’s Only Children’s Hospice — Palliative Care and Support for Children and Families
Who It’s For: Children aged 0–18 with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families across Ireland — including parents, siblings, grandparents and extended family. Care is available from the point of diagnosis throughout the child’s life, at end of life, and into bereavement. Services are delivered at the hospice in Dublin and through community teams across Leinster, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Galway, Mayo, Roscommon and the Midlands.
What They Offer: LauraLynn is Ireland’s only children’s hospice, providing specialist palliative and supportive care that is free of charge to families. Their holistic model of care is built around five pillars — direct care, family support, symptom management, end-of-life care and bereavement support — ensuring the right child receives the right care, at the right time, in the right place. Care can be delivered at the hospice building in Leopardstown, Dublin, or directly in the family home through community teams. LauraLynn’s approach ensures children can be children and parents can have time to be parents rather than full-time carers.

Why This Matters: When a child has a life-limiting condition, every moment matters — and so does having a team around your family that truly understands what you are going through. LauraLynn exists to make sure no child in Ireland faces this journey without expert, compassionate care, and no parent has to carry the weight of caring alone. They are a home from home, a place of warmth, expertise and unconditional support for some of Ireland’s most precious children and the families who love them.
